KORYVANTES in the Polish 3D Archery Tournament in Rypin /Poland , June 18 2016

The traditional archery team of the Association of Historical Studies KORYVANTES had the exceptional honor to participate in the 3rd International 3D Archery Tournament which was held in the beautifull open forests and lake of the area of Rypin / Poland on June 18 2016. With the participation of 180 archers (from the categories of traditional bow, compound, recurve) shooting in 28 3D targets of wild animals figures, the competition fullfilled the expectations as one of the most promising events of it's kind of all around Europe. Our Association had the exceptional honour to see it's archer Elena Antoniadou to gain the bronze medal / third place in the category "Traditional Bow Women" while our archer Spyros Bakas came 10th in the category "Traditional bow men". 

KORYVANTES Archery team in the 3rd International 3D Archery Tournament, Rypin / Poland, June 18 2016

The traditional archery team of the Association of Historical Studies KORYVANTES has the exceptional honor to announce it's forthcomming participation in the 3rd International 3D Archery Tournament which will held in the beautifull open forests of the area of Rypin in Poland on June 18 216. With the participation of about 100 archers which will shoot in more than 20 3D targets, the competition is willing to be one of the most promising event of it's kind of all around Europe.

Participation in the 4th Open Field 3D Tournament Palaichori / Cyprus, June 12 216

The traditional archery team of the Association of Historical Studies KORYVANTES has the exceptional honor to announce it's forthcomming participation in the 4th Open Field 3D Tournament , that will take place in the Palaichori village / Nicosia Province, in Cyprus on June 12 216. The tournament will include twenty 3D targets in a beautifull route of Palaichori Morfou/Agrou in the categories of traditional /barebow/longbow/recurve. 

Participation in the International "THUMB ARCHERY" Meeting, Sunna / Germany, May 26-29 2016

Following the kind invitation of the German Thumbring Traditional Archery Community , the Association of Historical Studies KORYVANTES will participate in the 9th International Thumbring Competition which will be held between May 26-29 2016 in the Sunna city (Keltendorf) in central Germany. The four-day event of the meeting will take place in the beautifull landscapes of the territory, on physical routes organised specifically for the competition, hosting the leading clubs from Poland, Turkey and Greece as well as the prime German archers and teams.

Participation in the "St Georges Shoot 2016", Taunton - England , April 23-24 2016

The traditional archery team of the Association of Historical Studies KORYVANTES has the exceptional honor to announce it's forthcomming participation in the 23th Traditional Archery contest - "St Georges Shoot 2016" which took place the weekend of 23 -24 April 2016 in Taunton, England. The  "St Georges Shoot" contest is one of the most historical annual Traditional Archery meetings in UK. It is organized under the auspices of the brother organisation "Society for the Promotion of the Traditional Archery (SPTA)" which is the leading institution for the research and promotion of Traditional Archery of Old Albion for the last decades.
Our Association has been succesfully participated in the relevant event of the year 2015.

Participation in the Hungarian National Traditional Archery competition "MHIT 2016", March 19 2016,Törökbálint / Budapest

The Traditional Archery team of the Association of Historical Studies KORYVANTES accepting to honourable invitation of the World Traditional Archery Federation's (WTAF) vice president Mr. Posta Pal and the Hungarian Federation of Traditional Archery participated in the Indoor traditional archery competition "M.I.I.T. 2016" which took place on Saturday, March 19, 2016, in Törökbálint / Budapest.

The four archers of our mission-team represented the Greek Traditional Archery in the European Traditional Archery capital shooting together with famous world champions and renowned teams. The competition was held in the region of "Anna Caves" in an area of actual historical artificial caves and included targets up to 30 meters and on target-faces defined by the Hungarian federation. The organizing committee of MHIT for this year honored the Polish Traditional archery and its great contribution to the World Heritage of World Archery. The commitee invited groups of four archers from the leading associations of Greece, Turkey, Germany and Romania as a symbol of cooperation, fraternity and recognition of their development at national level.

Participation in the 7th Total Field Game (T.F.G.), Agios Ioannis / Pelion Mountain, March 13 2016

The Traditional Archery team of the Association of Historical Studies KORYVANTES participated with great success in the 7th traditional archery open field game "Total Field Game 2016", which took place on Sunday, March 13th 2016 in the village of Agios Ioannis of Pelion mountain. The competition was organized by the Olympic Archery Academy of "Pelopos" Patras city, with the support of the Greek Olympic Archery Federation "E.O.T." and the participation of 60 athletes from Greece, Germany, Turkey, England and Cyprus.

The competition included 13 targets in physical terain of three kilometers on the slopes of Pelion mountain. The targets were located in the uphill and downward slope, and with natural obstacles. The athletes were participating in mixed groups of 4 , from the categories of Recurve, Compound, Barebow, Longbow, Traditional. The beginning and the end of the route took place in Hotel Anesis village of Agios Ioannis village, Our Association was pleased to see the athletes Elena Antoniadou, Erasmia Smyroglou and Skourti Sofia to win the gold, silver and bronze medal respectively.

KORYVANTES in the 3rd International Flying Shooting Competition in Leczyca Castle /Poland, April 22-24 2016

Following the kind invitation of the Polish Community of Traditional Archery and the distinguished bow-master and host of the event, Mr.Lukasz Nawalny,  the Association of  Historical Studies KORYVANTES will participate in the 3rd Polish Flying Shooting Competition which will be held between April 22-24, 2016 in Leczyca Castle / Poland.

The "III Ogolnopolski Turniej Strzelania na Odległość Flight" tournament brings the attention of the best Polish, French, Turkish, Italian, British, Slovakian, Greek and Hungarian flight archers. 

The event will also host interesting workshops including thumb ring technique with the famous master Adam Swoboda, arrow-making workshops with expert Piotr Kosiorek and thumb ring practices with Adam Rdziun.

KORYVANTES in the Hungarian Indoor Traditional Archery Competition (M.H.I.T. 2016 ), March 19 2016, Budapest-Hungary

The Traditional Archery Team of Association of Historical Studies KORYVANTES accepting the honourable invitation of the Vice President of the World Traditional Archery Federation (WTAF)  Mr. Posta Pal and the Hungarian Traditional Archery Federation , will participate in the Hungarian National Indoor Traditional Archery Championship  ( M.H.I. T. 2016 ) which will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2016 , in Törökbálint, Budapest - Hungary .

The four-member mission team of the Association KORYVANTES will represent the Greek Traditional Archery in the Traditional Archery Capital of Europe, together with renowned world champions and teams.

Participation in the Polish Traditional Archery "XVII International Correspondence Tournament", December 6 2015

The Traditional Archery team of the Association of Historical Studies KORYVANTES had the great honor to participate in the Polish "XVII International Correspondence Tournament" (correspondence tournament), which took place on Sunday,December 6 2015, on our training fields in Athens and Thessaloniki.

Our Association participated in this great event of the global family of Traditional Archery with 18 archers.The "XV International Correspondence Tournament" is a prestigious international Traditional Archery event which is organized by the Polish Federation of Traditional Archery. It was held on the same day and time in many European countries with the participation of hundrends of athletes of all ages, and the relevant top traditional archery teams.Our Association has participated in the relevant event of the year 2014

Participation in the "6th T.F.G.", Patras /Greece , October 4 2015

The Traditional Archery team of the Association of  Historical Studies KORYVANTES, is pleased to announce it's successfull participation in the 6th "Total Field Game 2015", which took place on Sunday, October 4, 2015 in the village of Platanovrissi in Achaia Province/Greece. The event was organized by the "Academy of Olympic Archery PELOPOS Patras", with the support of the Greek Olympic Archery Federation (EOT) and the participation of tottaly 75 athletes from Greece, Hungary, Germany, Poland, Turkey, England, Romania and Cyprus.

The competition included 11 targets in a physical route of  three kilometers on the slopes of Panachaikon Mountain. The targets were placed in upward/downward slope and in conjuction with natural obstacles. The athletes participated in mixed groups of 4 from the categories: Recurve, Compound, Barebow, Longbow, Traditional. The start as the finish of the route took place in the main square of the village Platanovrissi.

The Association of Historical Studies KORYVANTES had the honor to participate in the official process of the directing of the Competition (through the coach and director of our Archery team Mr Taxiarchis Chassalevris), managing the invitation of all of the international mission-teams  throughout the whole days of their presence in Greece .

The Association of Historical Studies KORYVANTES as the institutional representative of WTAF in Greece and substantial promoter of the Historical research on Greek Archery is proud to participate in the Organising team of the event (through it's instructor  and team leader Taxiarchis Chassalevris), directing the host and invitation of main traditional archery teams from England, Germany, Hungary, Poland, Turkey, Romania, aspiring to establish a yearly-basis and broaded international traditional archery events in Greece.

KORYVANTES in the "5th Total Field Game 2015", Dafnoula - Ioannina / Greece, August 1st 2015

The traditional Archery team of the Association of Historical Studies KORYVANTES, following the kind invitation of the Academy of Olympic Archery "Pelopos" Patras, participated in the"5th Total Field Game 2015", which took place on Saturday, August 1, 2015, in the village of Dafnoula in Ioannina / Greece .

The event was held under the auspices of the Greek Olympic Archery Federation (EOT), the Academy of Olympic Archery "Pelopos" Patras ,the Sports Club "Protoporos" from Ioannina and the Community of the Dafnoula village, with the participation of a total of 32 Olympic and Traditional Archery athletes.

The competition included 10 targets in a maximum distance of 50m in physical route of 2 km. The targets were placed in the uphill and downward slope and in many cases in conjunction with physical obstacles. The athletes participated in mixed groups of 4 athletes from the following categories : Recurve, Compound, Barebow, Longbow, Traditional. Our athletes won the first and second place in the category "Traditional Bow" women , under Elena Antoniadou and Erasmia Smyroglou (no contest), and the first place in the category "Traditional Bow" men under Chassalevris Taxiarchis (no contest).

KORYVANTES in Gumushacikoy- Amasya International Traditional Archery Festival, July 24-26 2015

The traditional archery team of the Association of Historical Studies KORYVANTES, represented for the 3rd time in a row in the International Traditional Archery Festival which was held from 24 to 26 July 2015 in the  Gumushacikoy town, in Amasya Province of Turkey, in the slopes of Mountain Canik, under the auspices of the Turkish Traditional Archery Federation.

The festival was adorned with the participation of 10 international teams, and 25 Turkish teams from Istanbul, Adrianople, Konya, Samsun, Merzifon, Trabzon, Amasya, Tokat, Izmir, Bursa, Sivas, etc.

KORYVANTES in Gümüşhacıköy Traditional Archery Festival , Amasya / Turkey, July 24 -26 2015

The Traditional archery team of the Association of Historical Studies KORYVANTES is pleased to announce its forthcomming participation in the International Traditional Archery Festival in Gümüşhacıköy of Amasya / Turkey, on July 24 -26  2014.

Our team representing for one more time the Greek Traditional Archery abroad , will attend in one of the most prestigeous festivals worldwide, meeting some of the top archers from 10 countries, along with the leading Traditional Archery teams of Turkey.

Our Association has participated with great success in the relevant festivals of the year 2013 and 2014.

KORYVANTES in the International Traditional Archery Festival in Turkoglu /Turkey, May 29-31 2015

The Traditional Archery team of the Association of Historical Studies KORYVANTES accepting the kind invitation of the Turkish Traditional Archery Federation, participated in the 1st"Turkoglou" International Traditional and Horseback Archery Festival which was held in Turkoglu (Province Kahramanmaraş) of Southeastern Turkey between May 29-31 2015.

The Turkoglu festival garnered the global attention of Traditional and Horseback Archery community, with the participation of about 300 archers from Turkey, Azerbaijan, China, Poland, Greece, Croatia, Germany, England, Mexico, Mongolia, Singapore, Slovakia, Turkmenistan, Hungary, USA, Malaysia, Kazakhstan, Italy, Iran etc., aspiring to become on consistent basis one of the top Traditional archery events worldwide

Participation in the Archaeological Festival "TIME AND EPOCHS", Moscow / Russia, June 5 -7 2015

The Association of Historical Studies KORYVANTES is pleased to announce its participation in the International Archaeological Festival "Time and Epochs - Rome" in Moscow /Russia , from Friday 5 to Sunday June 7, 2015.

The festival "Time and Epochs-Rome" is organized under the auspices of the Ministries of Culture, Tourism and Education of the Russian Federation and is considered to be the biggest Historical festival on the planet.

It will be held in the park Kolomenskoye of the Russian capital and is expected to attract the visit of more than 270,000 people. The festival will be adorned with the presence of the top reenactment associations from Italy, Russia, France, Germany, Spain, Poland, Netherlands, Hungary, Switzerland, Austria with hundreds of participants. The theme of the festival covers the historical period from the 5th BC to the 20th AD century under strict rules of historical accuracy.

Participation in the "TOTAL FIELD GAME 2015" , Kissos / Greece , May 2 2015

The Traditional Archery team of the Association Historical Studies KORYVANTES, has the exceptional honour to anounce it's succesfull participation in the 4th Open field Tournament "Total Field Game 2015", which was held on Saturday May 2, 2015 in the village of Kissos of Pelion Mountain / Greece. It was organized by the Academy of Olympic Archery "Pelopos" Patras, with the support of the Greek Olympic Archery Federation and the participation of 60 athletes from Greece, Turkey and Cyprus.

The competition included 12 targets in a three-and-a-half kilometers path through the verdant forests of Pelion Mountain. The targets were placed in the uphill /downhill slope and in many cases in conjunction with physical obstacles. Athletes participated in mixed groups of 4 athletes from various categories: Recurve, Compound, Barebow, Longbow, Traditional. The beginning and the end of the tournament was held in hospitable square of the village Kissos.

The simultaneous presence of all categories of archery in the same target, is an innovative idea of Mr Paul Koulis. The "Total Field Game" project has received warm and inspiring acceptance from archers from all over Greece with strong perspectives of extension of the idea into other countries as well.

Participation in the "St Georges Shoot 2015", Taunton - England , April 25-26 2015

The traditional archery team of the Association of Historical Studies KORYVANTES has the exceptional honor to announce it's successful participation in the 22th Traditional Archery contest - "St Georges Shoot 2015" which took place the weekend of 25 -26 April 2015 in Taunton, England.

The  "St Georges Shoot" contest is one of the most historical annual Traditional Archery meetings in UK. It is organized under the auspices of the Society for the Promotion of the Traditional Archery (SPTA) which is the leading institution for the research and promotion of Traditional Archery of Old Albion for the last decades.

The event gathered some of the most distinguished traditional archers & researchers from France, Holland, Spain, China, Germany, with a total of 80 entries under selective invitations. Our Association participated with four (4) archers:  MrTaxiarchis Chassalevris, Mrs Erasmia Smyroglou, Mr Steven Campbell and Mr Spyros Bakas.

Participation in the "XVI International Correspondence Tournament", March 8 2015

The Traditional Archery team of the Association of Historical Studies KORYVANTES had the great honor to participate in the "XVI International Correspondence Tournament" , which took place on Sunday, March 8 2015, on our training fields in Athens and Thessaloniki.

Our Association as the proud representative of the Greek Traditional Archery abroad, participated in this great event of the global family of Traditional Archery with 16 archers.
