ΚΩΝΣΤΑΝΤΙΝΟΥΠΟΛΗ - Συμμετοχή στους 2ους Διεθνείς Αγώνες Παραδοσιακής Τοξοβολίας , 15-16 ΙΟΥΝΙΟΥ 2013

Ο Σύλλογός μας βρίσκεται στην ευχάριστη θέση να ανακοινώσει την Συμμετοχή της Ομάδος Παραδοσιακής Τοξοβολίας του στους 2ους Διεθνείς Αγωνες Παραδοσιακής Τοξοβολίας που θα πραγματοποιηθούνε στην Κωνσταντινούπολη Σάββατο 15 και Κυριακη 16 Ιουνιου 2013.

Η 14 μελής αποστολή των τοξοτών του Συλλόγου μας , θα εκπροσωπήσει την χώρα μας σε ενα Πολιτιστικό γεγονός Πανευρωπαϊκής εμβέλειας, αναδεικνύοντας με τον καλύτερο τρόπο την Πανάρχαια Ελληνική Τοξευτική Παράδοση. Οπλισμός, Πανοπλίες, τόξα 3.000 χρόνων Ελληνικής Ιστορίας , με τοξότες απο την Υστερη Μυκηναϊκή περίοδο μεχρι και την πτώση του Βυζαντίου θα ταξιδεύσουν στην γειτονική χωρα φιλοδοξώντας να αποτελέσουν ενα άξιο εκπρόσωπο Μνήμης Πολιτισμού και Ιστορίας.

Το Φεστιβάλ Παραδοσιακής Τοξοβολίας , το οποίο θα λάβει χώρα σε μεγάλο ανοιχτό Πάρκο του όμορφου προαστιου  Uskudar (Σκούταρι) της Κωνσταντινούπολης , διοργανώνεται απο το Ινστιτούτο  Παραδοσιακής Τοξοβολίας "TALIMHANE" ( TALIMHANE Archery Institute" - TALİMHANE OKÇULUK ENSTİTUSU ) και τον Δήμο του Uskudar. Το Φεστιβάλ αποτελεί ήδη ενα απο τα πιό δημοφιλή φεστιβάλ Παραδοσιακής Τοξοβολίας στην Ευρώπη , συγκεντρώνοντας απο την  περισυνή πρώτη χρονια λειτουργίας του τα βλέμματα σχεδόν όλων Μέσων μαζικής ενημερώσεως της γειτόνου χώρας καθώς και ομάδες και αθλητές απο πάνω απο 15 χώρες.

Παραδοσιακή Τοξοβολία , 12 Μαϊου 2013, Προπόνηση - Αθήνα

Την Κυριακή 12 Μαϊου 2013, στο χωρο προπονήσεων μας στο Πειραιά πραγματοποιήθηκε με επιτυχία η εβδομαδιαία προπόνηση της Ομάδος Παραδοσιακής Τοξοβολίας του Συλλόγου μας στην περιοχή της Αθήνας. Ενόψει των επικείμενων διεθνών συμμετοχών της ομαδος μας, μέλη της ομάδος μας προπόνηθηκανε σε βολές κοντινών αποστάσεων πάνω σε διαφορετικούς τύπους στόχων εκτελώντας μια σειρά ασκήσεων γονυπετούς τοξεύσεως.

On Sunday April 28, 2013,  members of archery team of the Association of Historical Studies "KORYVANTES" in Athens, met on the slopes of Mount Penteli, on a very vigorous training in the practice field of our good friends of "Penteli Archery Shooting Range".

The four-hour training at Attic spring-blooming countryside, one day after the training of our members on the plateau of the "Hercules Funeral Pyre" in Mountain Oeta (Central Greece), was a very nice capstone to a very "archery-active” Weekend for our Association.

Members and friends of our Association had the opportunity to shoot hundreds of arrows into free medium and long-distance shots ,at a shooting range which had the Attica basin as a background. Our members also executed "shoot and scoot" archery exercises in an alternating rough and sloping field resembling the Historical realities of archery shots in combat conditions.

Παραδοσιακή Τοξοβολία , Προπόνηση στην Πεντέλη , 28 Απριλίου 2013

Την Κυριακή 28 Απριλίου 2013, Μέλη της Ομάδος τοξοβολίας του Συλλόγου Ιστορικών Μελετών ΚΟΡΥΒΑΝΤΕΣ στην Αθηνα , βρεθήκανε στις πλαγιές του όρους Πεντέλη , σε μια πολύ δυναμική προπόνηση στον φιλόξενο χώρο προπονήσεως των καλών φίλων του "Τοξοβολείου Πεντέλης". 

Η τετράωρη προπόνηση στο Ανοιξιάτικο τοπίο της Αττικής Υπαίθρου , μία μέρα μετα την Προπόνηση μελών μας στο Οροπέδιο της " Πυράς Ηρακλεους " στην Ορεινη Φθιωτιδα  αποτέλεσε ενα πολύ όμορφο επιστέγασμα σε ενα πολύ δραστήριο τοξευτικά Σαββατοκύριακο για τον Σύλλογο μας.

Μέλη και Φίλοι του Συλλόγου μας είχανε την ευκαιρία να ρίξουνε εκατοντάδες βέλη σε ελεύθερες βολές μέσων και μακρινών αποστάσεων, σε ενα πεδίο βολής με φόντο το λεκανοπέδιο της Αττικής. Παράλληλα εκτελέστηκαν ασκήσεις τόξευσης εν κινήσει και βολές σε εναλλασσόμενο ανώμαλο και κεκλιμένο πεδίο προσομοιάζοντας τις Ιστορικά πραγματικές συνθήκες τόξευσης σε συνθήκες μάχης.

On Saturday 27 April 2013, members of our Association’s Archery Team traveled to mountainous Phthiotis in Central Greece. On mount Oeta on an Alpine plateau named "Hercules Funeral Pyre” our members trained in traditional archery at a place that for us “KORYvANTES” has special symbolic importance.

The sacred area, in which according the Greek Ancestral Tradition the Archer-Warrior Hercules blazing was deified on his funeral pyre, and our forefathers honored him with the construction of the temple dedicated to the Hero, was for us a chance to simply train but also an opportunity to pay homage to our Traditions and to the History of Greek Archery.

Numerous Greek Vases depict the Progenitor Hercules as an Archer, who during his Labors and his myriad campaigns often used his bow and deadly arrows to fight his enemies. The Archer Hero, in this historic place handed his legendary bow of to Poias, who in his turn handed it to his son Philoctetes, who was destined to play one of the most crucial roles in the Trojan war, fulfilling the prophecy of Helenus that said: "Troy would fall into the hands of the Achaeans with only the bow of Hercules".

In the Spring-decorated fields of Doric Land, at an altitude around 2,000 meters above sea level, our archers had the chance to shoot dozens of arrows in maximum-range shooting (flight shooting), reaping an important first experience in an informal archery "contest” who was known to the Greeks from Antiquity and is widely prevalent even today abroad.

At the same time, the ongoing extensive study of our Association on the late Byzantine Archery, led us to testing the use of an experimentally reconstructed Byzantine Shield of the 12th century, with the use of baldric, in various shooting poses Important recordings of our conclusions will be included in our study which will be announced in the near future.
