Traditional archery training and participation in the "World Dragon Shooting Day", March 15 2015

On Sunday, March 15, 2015 the weekly training session of the Association of Historical Studies "KORYVANTES" was succesfully held in the area of Thessaloniki and  Athens. Furthermore our team had the exceptional honor to participate in the corespondence game "World Dragon Shooting Day" , an event of symbolical shooting on dragon-faced targets in the memmory of the passed away archer Dennis Kauth, with participants from all over the world. Our team chose to shoot on a hoplite-shield faced target with the symbol of the dragon (big snake) of Argos city-state (Archaic-Classical Period).

Traditional Archery Training in Athens and Thessaloniki , January 11 2015

On Sunday, January 11, 2015 the weekly training session of the Association of Historical Studies "KORYVANTES" was succesfully held in the area of Thessaloniki and Athens.
Furthermore our members had the opoortunity to cut of the traditional New Year's Eve "Festive bread".

Lecture in the World Traditional Archery Conference / WTAF 2014 , Danyang City /South Korea, October 6 2014

The Historical Studies Association "KORYVANTES" is particularly pleased to announce it's successfull participation in  the World Traditional Archery Academic Conference which was held in the city of Danyang South Korea, on October 6, 2014. 

The World Traditional Archery Academic Conference, which is held under the auspices of the World Traditional Archery Federation (WTAF), represents the pinnacle in the field of promotion of the history and mechanics of archery. The conference hosted the participations of Academics, researchers, schollars and experts in Traditional Archery and was performed under the organisation of the World Traditional Archery Festival (October 3-8 2014).

On Sunday 29th December 2013 the Archery Team of the Historical Studies Association “KORYVANTES” made a special training session in the form of Traditional Archery Competition at Panagiotis Stamelos Horsmaship Club in Mexiates of Phthiotis Province in Central Greece.
