Greek Traditional Archery in Lamia - Training Workshop on Sunday February 24 2013,

On Sunday 24 February 2013, the Traditional Archery team of the Historical Studies Association KORYVANTES executed with great success a training session in the area of Lamia .

"KORYVANTES" archers, from Thessaloniki, Chalkida, Lamia, Athens, gathered in the beautiful valley of Sperhios River, at the farm of our member Mr. Panagiotis Stamelos, in Mexiates village of Lamia, experiencing a great Archery Experience, which filled us with much optimism for the future and the potential of our team.

More than 25 members and friends of our Association participated in a training session that had it all. Introduction to the basics of Τtraditional Archery for beginners, test shots with our new bows, Shooting on midle Range distances for all the membrers, as well as longe range shots for the more advanced Archers.

We also had the pleasure to accept a call from Television Station the offered TV coverage of our training. With extensive footage and statements from our representatives we presented the activities of our Association in the traditional archery sector both in research as well as on the competition field. 

The interview was supported with the use of specialized microcameras, which were adjusted to specific points of the body, so as to take shots in first-person, giving the viewer an impressive visual and realistic perspective of the archer's movements. Shots from these special scenes will be soon become available in our Association's channel on YouTube.

We renewed our appointment for the near future for a meeting with our members and friends and from other places in Greece.
