The Traditional Archery team of the Association of Historical Studies KORYVANTES, is extremelly honoured to announce it's association with the renown and Prime British Institution " Society for the Promotion of the Traditional Archery".
S.P.T.A. was founded in 1993 to promote interest in the technology, history, crafts and shooting skills of worldwide traditional archery. SPTA's aims to share knowledge of this limitless subject, from the Avar bow to the 'Zhu' of the Bhutanese. Dozens of craftspeople, scholars and historians are among Society's members included the honorary president of the SPTA, Mr. Hector Cole, who has been awarded for his work as an arrowsmith under the British Empire Medal (BEM) and prime British champions in longbow category such as Carrol Edwards , Mick Pearce and Richard Hornsby.
